CSK Team News
With illness in the Chennai camp, MS Dhoni, Faf du Plessis and Ravindra Jadeja all missed the heavy defeat to Mumbai. Du Plessis and Jadeja were spotted back in the nets on Monday but Dhoni was absent and could miss out again. If he does, Suresh Raina will continue as captain. Ambati Rayudu took the gloves against Mumbai, but Narayan Jagadeesan has also been in the Chennai nets and could get a rare start.
CSK Key Players
MS Dhoni’s absence does not just cost Chennai their captain and wicket-keeper, but their leading run scorer this season too. They will be keen for him to be fit again, having scored 314 runs in seven innings so far.
Suresh Raina called for batsmen taking greater responsibility this time out, with Murali Vijay (38) the only one to do so against Mumbai despite it being his first appearance of the season. The Tamil Nadu batsman was in excellent form in his most-recent T20 matches, however, in Surat – he scored 77, 74 and 107 in his most recent three innings.
For Chennai, meanwhile, Shane Watson has 251 runs from 12 innings – 96 of which arrived in 53 balls in their most recent win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Raina has 247 runs, while Ambati Rayudu has 213.
On the bowling front, Imran Tahir now has 17 from 12 games this season and Deepak Chahar has 15. Harbhajan features more regularly at home and he has nine wickets in total, alongside an economy rate after six matches of a run a ball.
CSK Team Form
Chennai have won just one of their last four matches after their form dipped in recent weeks. They suffered back-to-back losses against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore but looked back to their best when Shane Watson’s 53-ball 96 in a chase of 176 to beat Sunrisers led to a four-wicket win.
They were bowled out for just 109 in 17.4 overs in their most recent match, however. Mumbai posted 155/4 but Chennai could not chase it at home – failing to capitalise on 38 from Murali Vijay at the top of the order.

DC Team News
Sandeep Lamichhane returned in place of Chris Morris again last time out, for the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, but he was expensive with the ball. Morris and Lamichhane have both been rotated in recent matches, but the Nepalese spinner might have the edge again on a spin-friendly Chennai wicket.
DC Key Players
Two more wickets last time out continued Kagiso Rabada’s fine season. The South African swing bowler now has 25 from 12 matches, striking every 2.3 overs on average so far.
Chris Morris has 12 from eight for Delhi, making him their second-top wicket taker, but the all-rounder has found his place in question thanks to Sandeep Lamichhane. The Nepalese spinner has eight wickets from six matches.
Shikhar Dhawan hit his third half-century in a row in the win against Royal Challengers Bangalore last time out, and his fifth of the season in total. He has hit 97*, 7, 35, 56, 54 and 50 in his last six innings.
Dhawan has 451 runs for Delhi, with Shreyas Iyer next on their list after his third half-century of the season last time out. Iyer has 383 runs, while Rishabh Pant is on 343.
DC Team Form
For the second time in IPL 2019, Delhi have won three matches in a row. They now have six wins in their last seven games.
Shikhar Dhawan has scored three half-centuries in his recent run of form, including one in the successful chase of 164 to beat Kings XI Punjab. He passed 50 next time out too, but was out-scored by Rishabh Pant’s excellent unbeaten 78 from 36 balls as they successfully chased 192 to beat Rajasthan Royals.
Last time out, meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer and Dhawan each passed 50 in a total of 187/5 and that was enough to lead them to a 16-run win against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Delhi Capitals Predicted Playing 11
