India lead by 108 runs in first innings, West Indies score 189/8; Ishant took five wickets

Roston Chase scored 48 runs for West Indies: Bumrah, Shami and Jadeja took one wicket each
In the first innings of the first Test against India, West Indies scored 189 for 8 wickets till the end of the second day's play on Friday. The Indian team is ahead by 108 runs on the basis of first innings. Roston Chase scored the most 48 runs for the Windies. Shimron Hetmyer contributed 35 runs. Ishant Sharma took 5 wickets for India. He took 5 wickets in an innings for the 9th time in his career.
Ishant dismissed Craig Brathwaite, Roston Chase, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Kemar Roach. Apart from Ishant, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each.Windies captain Jason Holder and Miguel Cummins are unbeaten. Holder scored 10 runs. Cummins could not open account yet.
Jadeja has lower-order partnerships
Earlier, the Indian team was all out by scoring 297 runs in the first innings. Ajinkya Rahane was the team's top scorer with 81 runs. Jadeja scored 58 runs. He also formed a 60-run partnership with Ishant. Ishant became Gabriel's victim by scoring 19 runs. Earlier, the team received its first setback only after the start of the day's play. Rahane hit his second consecutive half-century against the West Indies. Earlier last year, he scored 80 runs in Hyderabad. India's three batsmen had returned to the pavilion for 25 runs. Rahane then shared a 68-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Rahul. After Rahul was dismissed, he added 82 runs for the fifth wicket with Hanuma.
13 years later India lost 2 wickets in 5 overs against the Windies
