Former India captain Rahul Dravid has been relieved of the responsibility of coach of India-A and Under-19 teams. He has been appointed as the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Former Saurashtra captain Sitanshu Kotak has been appointed the coach of India-A and former Indian bowler Paras Mahambre under-19 teams.
Dravid will also prepare the roadmap for India-A and Under-19 along with NCA. Apart from this, Dravid will also work on upgrading the existing coaching module. The BCCI told the news agency that it has not been officially announced, as it is an internal change.
Rahul was impressed by the working style of Kotak
Newly appointed head coach of India-A team Sitanshu Kotak has experience of 130 first-class matches and has been a left-handed batsman. Earlier, he was associated with this team as a batting coach and he was also together during the recent West Indies tour.According to reports, Dravid was also very impressed with his coaching style and style, which is why it was decided to give him this responsibility. In his place, Hrishikesh Kanitkar has been made the batting coach of the under-19 team. He was also working with the same team during the Under-19 tri-series win in England.
Powar becomes bowling coach of under-19 team
Dravid's appointment in NCA also benefited former Indian cricketer Paras Mhambre and made him the head coach of the Under-19 team. The former fast bowler, who has experience of two Tests and three ODIs, has been working with Dravid as bowling coach with the India-A and Under-19 team for the last three years.Rambesh Powar, former off-spinner of the Mumbai team, has been appointed bowling coach in the India-A team after Mhambre was given the new responsibility. Prior to this, he has also been the head coach of the Indian women's cricket team. But she had to step down after a dispute with Mithali Raj during the Women's T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, T.
